Guereo is located on Senegal’s Petite Côte, approximately just 30km from airport or 20 minutes by car. This area is surrounded by the beach, lagoon and nature reserve. The coastline in Guereo is less developed than Saly, offering wide sandy stretches and natural rock formations.
Our lodge is within walking distance to the Guereo village, which has an active fishing and agricultural community. The local markets provide direct access to seasonal produce and daily catches.

The Somone Lagoon (Reserve Naturelle de la Somone)
Just 15 mins walk from our lodge will lead you to the edge of the mangrove. This 700-hectare protected area is a primary habitat for over 150 bird species, including flamingos, pelicans, herons, egrets. You can access this thriving natural world of migratory birds, crabs, oysters, fish, and lush mangroves on foot, by kayak, local pirogues (traditional boats), or with a guided nature walk — always with respect for the delicate balance of the ecosystem.
Bandia Wildlife Reserve
Located about 20 minutes by car from our lodge, this 3,500-hectare park offers a unique safari experience, where you can have the chance to see giraffes, rhinos, zebras, buffalos, and several species of antelope (oryx, eland, and impala).
Réserve de Bandia Lion
Located opposite the main Bandia Reserve, Ranch de Bandia offers you a close up encounter with the lions. Visitors board reinforced caged vehicles for an encounter where adult lions roam freely and often climb onto the car roofs.
Accro Baobab Adventure
Accrobaobab adventure is the only park in the world solely built on baobabs. Located near the Bandia Reserve, it offers thrilling aerial courses , giant ziplines, and climbing challenges. Popenguine Nature Reserve and Cliffs
A 15-minute drive north leads to Popenguine, a site known for its unique geography and religious significance. The reserve features marked trails along limestone cliffs overlooking the Atlantic. The village is home to the Basilica of Our Lady of Deliverance, a major pilgrimage site for West African Catholics.
Toubab Dialaw
Located just 30 minutes away, Senegal’s premier artistic escape, famed for the Gaudí-like architecture of Sobo Badé and the world-class École des Sables dance center. Nestled between red cliffs and the Atlantic, this tranquil village offers a soulful blend of contemporary African culture, stunning sunsets, and a bohemian coastal atmosphere.
Dakar Day Trip
A day trip from Dakar, just 1 hour by car allow you to enjoy nature, culture, history and modern icons including Gorée Island . This car-free UNESCO site preserves the memory of the transatlantic slave trade through the House of Slaves and picturesque colonial streets dotted with local artists selling their pieces. Return back to mainland via ferry to visit the business district and shop at the markets before heading over to African Renaissance Monument , Africa’s tallest statue. Nearby, climb the1864 Phare des Mamelles , one of the continent's most powerful lighthouses, for breathtaking coastal vistas and sunset drinks.
